ABOUT US

JT's Way is a Christ-Centered, Non Profit organization with a call to help hurting families during the loss of a child.

Our Mission

JT's Way ministers to families by financially assisting and connecting them with their local resources. These resources will assist in the financial and emotional burden of burying a child. Our aim is to aid in the healing process for parents and families.

These resources include, grief counseling and parent/sibling groups.

The outside world doesn't stop, but we can tell you from experience that a parent’s world certainly does.

BJ  Wiglesworth
President

BJ has worn several hats in his lifetime. He has been a farmer, a soldier, a truck driver, a heavy equipment operator, a carpenter, and a mechanic. But the hat he views as most important is that of being a dad. He has always believed that loving, caring parents are the foundation of a strong family.

BJ has been married to his High School sweetheart, Tonya since 1992. They started their family in 1995 when their oldest son Dylan was born. Their daughter, Miranda was born soon after in 1997. Their third child, John Thomas (JT) was born in 2002.

His newest hat has quickly become one of his favorite hats, that is being a grandfather.

BJ is also active in prison ministry and working on his hobby farm. He really enjoys playing guitar, bass, and drums, just like his son J.T., and misses their jam sessions.

Tonya Wiglesworth
Vice-President & Executive Director

Tonya has always been passionate about nonprofits. She has volunteered hundreds of thousands of hours over the last twenty years for organizations that assist both military families, and low income families, with financial and medical hardships. Tonya also volunteers in her home church as well.

In December of 2019, her family’s lives changed forever when her son J.T. passed away in an automobile accident.  JT was only seventeen. After the accidental death of her son, she found herself in shock. Tonya was confused and heartbroken. Like many other parents, she and B.J. had not planned for their child to die, no one ever plans to bury their child.

Through JT's Way, Tonya along with her husband B.J., have set out to honor their son by making sure that no family has to go through the loss of a child alone.

In addition to J.T., B.J. and Tonya have an older son Dylan, and a daughter Miranda. Dylan, who is married to Kim, have a daughter Julie and a son Levi.  Their daughter Miranda and her husband Austin have a daughter, Avery.
